Hello; I hope you have all had an enjoyable Easter and have managed to have one or two chocolate eggs smuggled into your shopping somehow :)
Well the weather has been very kind and has let us get outside in one shape or another, be it walking, biking, dog walking or gardening. I have never spent so much time in my garden on consecutive days as I have over the last 5 days or so and it has been great! I am so thankful that I am able to get outside and that I live in such a beautiful part of the country that I am able to enjoy nature in all it's glory.
If nothing else comes out of this, it has shown us that we all needed to slow down a little to really appreciate what we have got in the world around us. Even those who live in cities and towns hopefully have managed to find a little bit of nature to admire and appreciate. Birds that fly over, the warm sunshine, grass, trees, etc, no matter how few, have been a source of comfort for most of us in this trying time.
As and when life returns to 'normality' I really really hope that this 'normality' doesn't mean we just go back to how we lived, rushing from place to place, with no time for the small but massively important things that at the moment we would give our right arm to be able to do. Let us still manage to take a little time to appreciate the freedom to talk to people, stand next to them, gather in a group and exchange ideas and conversations. Let us still be able to take a few minutes out of each day to simply breathe and be.....and then focus on looking after our planet in a better way. To give it more time to continue to heal and rejuvenate.
